Ian studied at the University of Plymouth where he obtained a 1st Class Honours Degree in Civil Engineering. He graduated in 1981 and worked for Bovis Construction on a variety of projects including sewerage treatment and pumping stations. Two years were then spent conducting research in Structural Engineering resulting in several technical papers being published in Canada, Poland and the United Kingdom. Ian then gained extensive experience with a number of local consultants, obtaining knowledge of framed and composite structures as well as working closely in the design of piled and raft foundations for developers.
Ian also gained extensive experience in the design and construction of industrial and commercial buildings and a knowledge of Highway and sewer design.
In 1982, he opened and ran an office in London Docklands, where he was responsible for major developments throughout the Royal Docks. Recently he has concentrated on the design of framed structures and multi-storey buildings for luxury apartments in Cheltenham, Bristol and Swindon. Ian has joined the
Academy of Experts and has been involved in expert witness work for a number of Clients. His knowledge and experience in a full range of Structural Engineering, Geotechnical, Highway and Foundation disciplines enables him to make first class engineering decisions, which benefit the Client. His diversity is a great asset to the
practice.
Mark Liddle

Mark joined the PSA in Croydon in 1973 at the training centre and progressed to the London Region Specialist Group in 1975. Whilst with the PSA experience was gained in all aspects of Civil and Structural Engineering with secondments to the Department of Ancient Monuments and Historic Buildings and periods on site at Faslane submarine facility in Scotland. Mark left the PSA in 1977 and joined private
practice in London where experience was gained in multi-storey concrete and steel frame designs as part of a structural team.
Mark left London in 1980 to join a consulting Practice in Plymouth. He progressed to become an Associate Partner in charge of the day to day running of major projects covering Southern England and South Wales. A great number of these included urban regeneration on contaminated and difficult sites. Mark's experience with Developers and design build contractors and his extensive experience in dealing with difficult and contaminated land gives the practice the depth of experience to deal successfully with the most difficult engineering problems.
